Picaluna was chosen by Chance, via a web search. 
I am so glad Chance was there when I needed her. 
The Funeral Arrangements, the Funeral Celebration of my Late Husband was not a grief laden event with Guests being mournful. 
 Picualna allowed us to Celebrate Michael and his achievements in a personal service that &#8220;did him proud&#8221;. 
We, my daughters and self wish to Thank You, Karin and Kathryn for your Empathy, compassion, HUMOUR and help throughout this jouney to say goodbye to our Michael.

Trevor Lee &amp; Sons was both well priced and excellent. Darren is truly the best and the most understanding funeral director I have ever met especially at such a heartbreaking time.
I had already spoken to about eight funeral homes in Sydney both large and family owned, including Picaluna (who says wholesale but sadly there was a surprise large fee on top). 
Then Darren at Trevor Lee was recommended by a caterer in the industry who had received many many excellent reports about him and said I would not be disappointed. She was right.
Darren listened and understood very well. He is a wonderful person and very easy to talk to and very easy to contact. 
Darren explained everything very clearly, showed all the options and costs and put them in writing. He could include it all or understand what we would organise separately as we wished. Everything was transparent and no hidden surprises. 
He made the process easy by leading the way, communicating at each step, and didn’t skip a beat in the planning or the service.
Darren’s team in the office and embalming and at the funeral were all terrific during and after.
Mandy (one of Darren’s celebrants) was absolutely wonderful. She led a lovely personalised service reflecting our loved one. We were thankful for help from Mandy and Darren with music choices too, as standard choices from decades past are not really the best any more.
Darren even phoned a while afterwards to check how we were going. My family and I were very grateful to have Darren and his team’s understanding and professionalism be part of our family at such at sad time.

We were so impressed with the way Michelle, Natalie &amp; the rest of the team at Joseph Medcalf Funerals, Matraville, applied compassion in guiding us through the farewell &amp; celebration of the life of our Mum &amp; Grandmother, Veronica. Due to their professionalism &amp; sensitivity, the distressing process of planning a loved one’s funeral during the restrictions of COVID-19 was made so much easier. The streaming service they provided was an essential element of the service. Their patience &amp; special caring touches at a time of grief, were very much appreciated.
